Maradu sits along the bypass south of Vyttila, and a good share of its housing is the sort that gets let rather than bought and lived in for thirty years. Newer blocks, a lot of them well finished, and a meaningful number let furnished or part furnished to people working across the city. That changes the job in a way most movers don't plan for. You aren't moving a household. You're moving one household's worth of belongings out of a room that also contains somebody else's sofa, bed, wardrobe and kitchen fittings. Getting that wrong is expensive for you, not for us, which is why we take it seriously. Before anything is packed we go through what's yours and what's on the landlord's list, room by room, and we mark it. If there's an inventory document from the start of your tenancy, bring it out at survey, it's the single most useful thing you can hand us. Where something is genuinely ambiguous, and there's usually one or two things, we flag it rather than guessing, because a wardrobe loaded by mistake is a much harder conversation than a wardrobe left behind. The packing itself is then more surgical than a full house move. Cartons rather than a truck's worth of furniture, often a fair amount of kitchen and personal effects, sometimes one or two pieces you did buy yourself sitting among pieces you didn't. We label yours clearly and we photograph the room as we leave it, which protects both sides. It takes a little longer at the front end and it has saved a lot of our customers a deposit. Not everything here is a rented flat, of course. There are owned apartments, families settled for years, and ordinary full household moves that look like household moves anywhere. Those get surveyed and quoted the same way, one written figure covering material, labour, transport, loading and unloading, fixed once written. Moving Insights for Maradu

The single most useful habit for anyone in a furnished let here is to photograph the flat on the day you move in, before you unpack anything. Almost nobody does it and everybody who has ever argued about a deposit wishes they had. If you have those photos, the exit is straightforward. If you don't, we'll photograph as we pack, which is second best but still far better than nothing. Access here is generally decent by Kochi standards, being newer stock along a main road, though there are two things worth checking at survey. Several blocks share a single access road off the bypass, so if another move or a large delivery is happening the same morning you may be waiting on someone else's vehicle rather than your own. Where we can, we'll ask the association whether anything else is booked and pick a different slot. The other is that a well finished lobby and lift make building management understandably protective, and lift padding or floor protection is often required rather than optional. We bring it as standard here. On timing, Maradu behaves like the bypass, busy through the day rather than in sharp peaks, so early starts win. For a part move out of a furnished flat that's less critical than for a full household, because the volume is smaller and the whole job may take three or four hours rather than a full day. Even so, doing the inventory walk while everyone is fresh is better than doing it at four in the afternoon when everyone wants to be finished. Short notice is the other pattern here, and it's a consequence of how people live in this kind of housing. Tenancies end, jobs change, and a fair number of our Maradu bookings come with three or four days' warning rather than three or four weeks. That's manageable and we'd rather say so than pretend everything needs a fortnight's planning. What we do ask, even on short notice, is for the inventory conversation to happen properly, because that's the part where rushing actually costs you money.
