Then think about the new bike's first weeks. It still needs its first free service at the dealer, usually after a set number of kilometres or weeks. If the new flat is across the city from the showroom, ask whether an authorised service centre nearer the new home can do it, so the first service doesn't become a long ride back.
If the old bike is being sold or traded in, let the dealer collect it from the old flat. If it is coming with you, that is the bike we move, and only that one.
