Bike, Scooter and Two Wheeler Shifting · Vannarpet, Bangalore

Bike Shifting in Vannarpet

Owners taking back a Vannarpet house sometimes find something the tenant left: a scooter or an old motorcycle in the parking. It is not yours to move, and it is not ours either. A bike can only leave with its owner's consent, so the job is to reach the former tenant and book it with them.

Bike Shifting

Bike Shifting in Vannarpet, Bangalore

Vannarpet has many family houses that were let for years while the owners lived elsewhere. When the owners come back, the tenant moves out, the house is cleaned, and sometimes a vehicle is still standing in the parking. A spare scooter the tenant forgot about. An old motorcycle that stopped running and was never sold. A bike belonging to a relative of the tenant, parked there "for a few weeks" years ago.

It is tempting to call a mover and have it taken somewhere, anywhere. It is in the way, the house is meant to be yours again, and the bike is plainly unwanted. We won't do that, and nobody should. A two wheeler belongs to whoever is named on its RC. Moving it without them, even to a parking stand or a scrap dealer, risks a theft complaint and a lot of trouble for the house owner. Selling it or scrapping it without the owner's papers is worse.

The right path is slower and safer. Note the registration number. Contact the former tenant, by phone, message and email if you have them, saying the bike is still at the house and asking them to collect it by a reasonable date. Keep copies of everything you send. If they reply, they book the move, with us or anyone, and they or someone they name hands it over. We are happy to collect it from your parking once the owner of the bike has booked and confirmed.

If the tenant doesn't reply, the registration number lets the authorities trace the owner. A written complaint to the local police station about an abandoned vehicle is the usual route, and it puts the matter on record. Don't let the bike become your problem by moving it yourself.

Sometimes the story is gentler. The bike belongs to the tenant's elderly father, who left it when he moved in with a son elsewhere, and everyone simply forgot. A phone call is often all it takes, and the family is glad to have it found. Start with that assumption; most people are embarrassed, not difficult.

Meanwhile, protect it, and yourself. Cover it, photograph it, and note its condition. If it is ever disputed, you can show it was left as it was.

The Vannarpet packers page covers taking a house back from a tenant. This page is just about the vehicle that stayed behind.

Scooters

Scooter and Scooty Shifting in Vannarpet

Scooter and scooty shifting in Vannarpet in this situation is always booked by the scooter's owner, not the house owner. If you are the former tenant and you forgot a scooter, call the house owner, apologise, and book a collection. Bring the RC copy and the key.

Electric

EV Scooter Shifting in Vannarpet

An electric scooter left behind may have a flat battery after weeks without charging. Whoever owns it should name the maker and battery layout when booking, and say if the pack comes out. If it can't be charged at the house, we plan the move around that.

Intercity

Two Wheeler Transport from Vannarpet to Other Cities

Often the former tenant has moved to another city. They can still book the bike to follow them. The run is charged by the kilometre on the tenant's corridor, with the full figure written before collection, and the house owner just opens the gate at the agreed hour.

Before the Day

Getting Your Bike Ready in Vannarpet

If you are the house owner, photograph the bike, note its number, and message the former tenant the same day you find it. Mention the registration number in the message, so there is no doubt which vehicle you mean.

Give them a reasonable date to arrange collection, and keep your messages.

If you are the former tenant, book the collection quickly, name someone to hand it over if you can't, and tell the house owner the date and time.

While the bike waits, keep it covered and out of the way of any renovation work. Owners coming home often repaint or retile before moving back in, and a bike in the middle of a work site collects paint drips and dust that nobody will want to argue about later.

Moving the whole household too? Our packers and movers in Vannarpet page covers the house move, and a bike can travel on the same vehicle.

Checklist

Before Your Bike Is Collected in Vannarpet

  • Fuel

Ride the tank down to reserve in the days before collection. A small amount is fine; a full tank is not wanted on a loaded vehicle.

  • Papers

Photocopies of the RC, the insurance policy and your photo ID travel with the bike. Keep the originals, especially the RC, with you. If the RC is not in your name, mention it when you book.

  • Condition record

Photograph the bike from every side and at the odometer. The crew also notes its condition at pickup, and you keep a copy of that note.

  • Insurance

Transit insurance is available on a value you declare. Keep the bike's own motor insurance valid for the journey as well.

  • At delivery

Check the bike against the pickup note and your photographs before signing, and point out anything new while the crew is still there.

  • Handover

If someone else will hand over or receive the bike, tell us who when you book, and we will confirm what they need to have with them.

Good to Know

What a Bike Move Does Not Include

  • We do not ride your bike to the new address. It travels on a vehicle, standing upright and strapped at the frame.
  • Ride the tank down to reserve before pickup. A near empty tank is safer on a loaded vehicle.
  • We do not repair, service or start a bike that will not start. Tell us at booking so it is loaded the right way.
  • Helmets, jackets and tools travel in a carton or with you, never strapped to the bike.
  • RC transfer, address change and re-registration in a new state are yours to do, or an agent's.
