Or ask the society to sequence the work so your section is done after you leave, which they will sometimes agree to.

Never let the bike be pushed across a freshly coated floor. Epoxy and waterproofing coats mark easily before they cure, and the society will hold you responsible for tyre marks.

Get the details in writing if you can. A notice on the society group or a short message from the facility manager saying which section closes on which dates is enough. Share it with us when you book, so the pickup slot is set on a day your row is open, and the crew knows which gate and ramp to use. If the dates move, as repair schedules often do when it rains or a contractor is late, tell us and we'll move the slot with them rather than arrive to a taped off basement.

If the bike goes to a temporary spot, think about its security for those days. Lock the handle, use a disc lock if you have one, take the key with you, and tell the security guard which bike is parked where and until when. A bike left in a visitors' corner without a word to anyone is the first thing a guard will ask about, and the last thing you want on your mind while the packers are working upstairs.

Check the other end too. The new building may be doing the same work, in which case the bike's delivery waits until the new parking is open.
