Bike Shifting in BTM 2nd Stage
When a landlord asks you to leave, every square foot of the flat becomes evidence, and that includes the patch of floor where the bike was parked. A small oil stain can cost a slice of the deposit. The order in which the bike leaves, and when the bay is photographed, matters more than people expect.

Bike Shifting in BTM 2nd Stage, Bangalore
Plenty of moves in BTM 2nd Stage are ones the tenant did not choose. The landlord's family needs the flat, or the building has been sold, or a lease simply was not renewed. The work of moving is the same as for anyone else, and everything around it is harder: less notice, less goodwill and a deposit that may be argued over. In that atmosphere the parking bay is the place where small problems are found.
A bike leaves marks. A scooter that has stood in the same spot for two years will have dripped a little oil, the tyres will have rubbed a darker patch on the floor, and the side stand may have worn a dent in soft paint or a cracked tile. Landlords know it, and a landlord who is in a hurry to get a flat back and is already at odds with a tenant may walk the bay at the inspection and point at every one of them.
So the bike and the bay should be handled as a pair. The first job is to put the bike on the carrier before the inspection, not after, so the bay is empty when the landlord walks in. Nothing sours an inspection like a bike still standing in the space being discussed, with the owner explaining that a carrier is coming later. Book the collection for early on the day of the inspection, or the day before, and say in your booking what time the landlord is expected so the crew is not late.
The second job is the bay itself, and that is yours, not ours. Photograph it empty, in daylight, from two sides, before you clean it, and again after. Clean any oil you can see with a degreaser or a detergent and some sawdust or old cloth, scrubbing gently so as not to lift the surface. If you have photographs of the bay from when you moved in, find them. They show what was there before you.
The third job is to write down the bay in front of the landlord. Ask them to walk it with you, to look at the floor and the walls, and to say aloud whether they see any problem. If they do, agree the figure there and then and get it in writing, a message will do. A deduction agreed on the spot is far smaller than one invented in a follow up call.
There is another quiet advantage to moving the bike first. A crew that collects early works in a quieter building, before neighbours leave for work and before the landlord's agent arrives to hover over the floor. The job is faster, the photographs are cleaner and nobody is arguing about a bike that is halfway down the ramp.
If the new place has no parking bay ready, the bike does not have to leave your hands for good. Bangalore storage, priced after a survey, can hold it while you sort things. That is also a useful answer if the landlord has given you only a short window.
The furniture side is on the BTM 2nd Stage packers and movers page, including the question of notice. On this page we talk only about the bike and the floor it stood on.
Scooter and Scooty Shifting in BTM 2nd Stage
A scooter is the most likely bike to have left a mark, because it stands still for long stretches and the floorboard is low. Look underneath before you move it. Dry oil on the floor is often a slow leak from the engine or the drain plug, not a spill, and it tells you where to clean. Empty the seat storage, take your helmet and any bag, and do not wash the bike on the day, since water on the bay makes marks harder to photograph.
Motorcycles drip from the chain and the sump, and they have a centre stand that can dent soft floors. If yours has a tall windscreen or a top box, say so, because those change how the crew stands it on the vehicle.
A small tip about the mark itself. A faint dry stain that has been there since the first month is different from a fresh wet patch, and a landlord who moved you in with a photograph of a clean floor is entitled to ask. Look through your own move in photographs tonight, before anyone asks you to.
EV Scooter Shifting in BTM 2nd Stage
An electric scooter leaves no oil, which can make the bay simpler, but it leaves its own trail: a charging cable, an extension board or a socket fixed to the wall. Take the charger down and leave the wall as you found it. At booking, name the scooter and say if you can lift the pack out yourself. How the pack is carried, and which ID the receiver brings, gets decided on that call. A survey may come before the price.
Two Wheeler Transport from BTM 2nd Stage to Other Cities
Some tenants asked to leave choose to leave Bangalore, and a two wheeler has to go with them. When the bike has to leave BTM 2nd Stage for a far city such as Chennai, Hyderabad or Kochi, it is a carrier job, and the bike transport billed by the kilometre at the rate for the vehicle's size, and the price is written down first. We work out timing over the phone and never count days. If the collection has to fit a landlord's deadline, say so at the start.

Getting Your Bike Ready in BTM 2nd Stage
Check your notice before you agree to a date. If the landlord has asked for faster than the agreement allows, you can say so politely and keep the bike booking flexible.
Book the collection early on the morning of the inspection, or the day before and tell us who will be at the flat.
Photograph the bay before you clean and after. Two sides, daylight, with something in the frame that shows the size, such as your own foot.
Ask the landlord to walk the bay with you. A written message listing what they agree is worth more than a long conversation.
And keep the receipt for any cleaning material and for the carrier, and save every message the landlord sends about the flat. Screenshots on a second phone are even better. If a deduction is challenged later, those are part of the record.
Moving the whole household too? Our packers and movers in BTM 2nd Stage page covers the house move, and a bike can travel on the same vehicle.

Before Your Bike Is Collected in BTM 2nd Stage
Fuel
Ride the tank down to reserve in the days before collection. A small amount is fine; a full tank is not wanted on a loaded vehicle.
Papers
Photocopies of the RC, the insurance policy and your photo ID travel with the bike. Keep the originals, especially the RC, with you. If the RC is not in your name, mention it when you book.
Condition record
Photograph the bike from every side and at the odometer. The crew also notes its condition at pickup, and you keep a copy of that note.
Insurance
Transit insurance is available on a value you declare. Keep the bike's own motor insurance valid for the journey as well.
At delivery
Check the bike against the pickup note and your photographs before signing, and point out anything new while the crew is still there.
Handover
If someone else will hand over or receive the bike, tell us who when you book, and we will confirm what they need to have with them.
What a Bike Move Does Not Include
- We do not ride your bike to the new address. It travels on a vehicle, standing upright and strapped at the frame.
- Ride the tank down to reserve before pickup. A near empty tank is safer on a loaded vehicle.
- We do not repair, service or start a bike that will not start. Tell us at booking so it is loaded the right way.
- Helmets, jackets and tools travel in a carton or with you, never strapped to the bike.
- RC transfer, address change and re-registration in a new state are yours to do, or an agent's.
Bike Shifting in BTM 2nd Stage: Questions People Ask
Yes, ideally. An empty bay is easier to inspect and photograph, and it avoids a dispute over a bike still standing in the space being discussed.
Local trips are priced from Rs 2,500 at the gentlest end to Rs 5,500 at the steepest, and your figure is agreed before pickup. Carrier space can be limited at short notice, so book as soon as a date is given.
Both are in the same city band. The route and the help needed decide where in the band the price lands.
Yes. Take the charger down yourself and leave the wall as it was. Give the scooter's make at booking, and tell us if the pack lifts out.
Yes. A carrier takes it at a per kilometre rate that depends on vehicle size, and timing is confirmed when you book.
Take it empty, in daylight, from two sides, before you clean it and again after. Add any move in photographs you have.
You do. We move the bike, we do not clean the floor. A degreaser or detergent and a cloth does most of the work.
Ask them to agree the figure on the spot and message it to you. Deductions agreed there tend to be smaller than ones argued afterwards.
It is usually the best thing you can do. A walk round, with a message afterwards, leaves a record on both sides.
Then book a collection on the morning of the inspection, and ride it there yourself until then. The bike is collected from the flat.
Distance and vehicle size set it, the total is written before the carrier leaves, and tolls on the way are included.
Tell us as soon as you know. We cannot promise a slot at short notice, but we try to place the collection before the inspection.
Yes, there is space with us in the city and the price comes after a survey visit. It is a sensible step when the new flat has no bay.
Run it near reserve beforehand. A splash left is fine, and nothing is drained or carried.
Repairs and starts are not part of what we do. A bike that still rolls gets loaded anyway, so line up a mechanic near the new flat.
Yes, all round before loading, and a written note is left with you. They settle any later question about what the bike looked like.
Your RC, policy and ID go along as photocopies, and you carry the originals. If the RC names someone else, flag it at booking.
Yes, a friend can do it. You pass us the name beforehand and we explain what the crew will expect them to show.
Often, tied down upright and away from heavy items, from Rs 2,999. The notice and deposit side is on the packers page.
That is for you and the landlord to agree. Cleaning it yourself beforehand and photographing it is usually enough to settle the point.
Yes, on the declared value you give us.
Yes, if both head to one address. They share a vehicle and a combined figure, while each owner signs their own note.
Yes, book a collection early and let us know the moment the landlord names a time. We will move the slot with a call if the window changes.
Yes. We set the collection to finish well before it.
