Bike, Scooter and Two Wheeler Shifting · AECS Layout, Bangalore

Bike Shifting in AECS Layout

A long weekend is when most people in AECS Layout find time to send a bike away, and it is also when the society office that signs a vehicle out of the gate locks up for four days. So the exit pass gets signed on the last working afternoon before the holiday, with the bike's number, the dates and our vehicle details on it, and a copy sits with the guard before anyone arrives.

Bike Shifting

Bike Shifting in AECS Layout, Bangalore

Holiday weekends are popular for moving out of AECS Layout, and with good reason. You have the days off, the roads around the Marathahalli side are calmer than on any weekday, and our carriers run on public holidays exactly as they do on a Tuesday. For the bike itself, the physical part of a holiday pickup is about as easy as it gets.

The paperwork is the opposite. A lot of societies here will not let a vehicle leave the premises in somebody else's hands without a signed exit pass, and the people who sign it are the society office and the facility manager. Both close for the holiday. Some of them leave on the Thursday evening, nobody puts that on the notice board. The guard on the gate is usually the only person on duty, and a guard cannot invent a permission that nobody gave. Picture it from that side of the barrier: two people they have never met, wheeling a resident's motorcycle towards a strange vehicle on a Saturday morning, with no slip in hand. Stopping them is the guard doing the job properly.

So the pass is the first thing we plan, before the date or the time. Ask your office what format they use, then get it filled in and signed on the last working day before the long weekend begins. It should carry the bike's registration number rather than a description like "black scooter", the dates it covers, and the vehicle number and crew names we send you once the carrier is assigned. Ask for it to cover the whole holiday rather than one morning. If the slot shifts by a day for traffic or weather, a pass for Saturday alone is worthless on Sunday and there is nobody left in the office to change it.

Two things tend to hold the signature up, and both need office hours. Pending maintenance dues, because some offices will not sign anything for a flat that still owes money. And the owner's consent, where you rent, since a few associations want the landlord's say so before a tenant's vehicle goes out for good. Clear both in the week before, not on the Friday at five.

On the morning itself, leave a copy of the signed pass with the security desk the evening before, and keep a photo of it on your phone. Our crew will give their names at the gate and the vehicle number will match what is on the slip. Ask if your society narrows its moving hours on holidays, too. Some restrict them further when the facility team is away, and a bike being wheeled out still counts as a move to whoever wrote the rule.

Then there is the far end. If the bike is going to another society in Bangalore, that office is shut for the same holiday, and the guard there wants an entry permission just as badly. Get it arranged in writing before you leave.

If the whole flat is moving that weekend, the AECS Layout packers page deals with the furniture and boxes, and the bike can share their lorry. This page is about the two wheeler alone.

Scooters

Scooter and Scooty Shifting in AECS Layout

Plenty of the two wheelers we collect here are scooters, and scooter shifting in AECS Layout runs into the same gate rules as a motorcycle does. Put the number plate on the pass, not "the scooty in slot 14". Guards check plates, and a pass that describes the vehicle in words is the one they hesitate over.

For scooty shifting in AECS Layout, open the under seat boot before the holiday starts and take everything out, including the parking sticker if your society wants it returned when you leave. Some offices ask for the sticker or the parking card back as part of signing you out, which is another reason to visit while they are open.

Electric

EV Scooter Shifting in AECS Layout

An electric scooter adds one more permission to chase before the long weekend. If you charge it in the society basement on a shared point, the office may want the charging arrangement closed out, and the new building may need to approve a socket for you. Neither office answers during a holiday. For the carrier itself, we need the maker's name, the model, and an answer on whether its pack unclips or stays sealed inside; the carrying plan is then settled at booking.

Intercity

Two Wheeler Transport from AECS Layout to Other Cities

A long weekend is also when people from AECS Layout take a bike home to another city, riding the holiday to settle in at the other end. Two wheeler transport out of Bangalore is billed by the kilometre, inside whichever band the route falls into, with the total in writing before the carrier is booked. We don't give a count of days on the road; the route and the other stops decide that, and you get the plan at booking.

The exit pass works the same way for an interstate run. The guard does not care where the bike is going, only that someone with the authority to say yes has said it in writing.

Before the Day

Getting Your Bike Ready in AECS Layout

Ring your society office early in the week before the holiday and ask three things: what the exit pass needs, who signs it and what time they leave on the last working day. That last answer is the one people forget to ask.

Once our vehicle number and crew names reach you, forward them to the office straight away, so they go onto the pass rather than a blank. If the office insists on signing only once those details are known, book early enough that we can send them before the holiday.

Take a photo of the signed pass, give one copy to the guard and keep one in the bike's document pouch along with the photocopies that travel with it. And if you won't be in AECS Layout on the pickup day, name the neighbour or friend doing the handover when you book.

Long weekend dates fill up for carriers just as they do for household crews. A few weeks of notice is sensible, and it also gives the office time to sign.

Moving the whole household too? Our packers and movers in AECS Layout page covers the house move, and a bike can travel on the same vehicle.

Checklist

Before Your Bike Is Collected in AECS Layout

  • Fuel

Ride the tank down to reserve in the days before collection. A small amount is fine; a full tank is not wanted on a loaded vehicle.

  • Papers

Photocopies of the RC, the insurance policy and your photo ID travel with the bike. Keep the originals, especially the RC, with you. If the RC is not in your name, mention it when you book.

  • Condition record

Photograph the bike from every side and at the odometer. The crew also notes its condition at pickup, and you keep a copy of that note.

  • Insurance

Transit insurance is available on a value you declare. Keep the bike's own motor insurance valid for the journey as well.

  • At delivery

Check the bike against the pickup note and your photographs before signing, and point out anything new while the crew is still there.

  • Handover

If someone else will hand over or receive the bike, tell us who when you book, and we will confirm what they need to have with them.

Good to Know

What a Bike Move Does Not Include

  • We do not ride your bike to the new address. It travels on a vehicle, standing upright and strapped at the frame.
  • Ride the tank down to reserve before pickup. A near empty tank is safer on a loaded vehicle.
  • We do not repair, service or start a bike that will not start. Tell us at booking so it is loaded the right way.
  • Helmets, jackets and tools travel in a carton or with you, never strapped to the bike.
  • RC transfer, address change and re-registration in a new state are yours to do, or an agent's.
FAQ

Bike Shifting in AECS Layout: Questions People Ask

Holiday or not, a bike going elsewhere in Bangalore won't be quoted under Rs 2,500, nor past Rs 5,500, and a holiday date stays inside those two numbers; the distance and how the bike gets out of the building decide the point in that span. The figure is written down before the weekend.

Because a guard sees strangers taking a resident's vehicle out of the gate, and the pass is the proof that you agreed. Many societies insist on it for any vehicle that leaves without its owner riding it.

Usually not. The guard can let through what the office already approved, but cannot approve something new. That is why the signature has to come before the holiday starts.

The registration number, the dates it covers, the carrier's vehicle number and the crew names we send you. Ask the office if they want anything else on it, since formats differ between societies.

If the pass was written for the whole long weekend, nothing changes. If it named only Saturday, the guard may refuse on Sunday, and there is nobody in the office to correct it. Ask for the full holiday period.

In some societies, yes. An office may refuse to sign anything for a flat with dues outstanding. Settle them in the week before so the pass is not held up.

Some associations ask for the owner's consent before a tenant's vehicle goes out for the last time. Check with your office early, while there is time to get the landlord's note.

Yes. Any two wheeler leaving in our hands is treated the same at the gate. Put the scooter's plate number on the pass instead of a description.

Empty the under seat boot, hand back any parking sticker or card the society wants returned, and do both before the office shuts. The rest is on our checklist further down the page.

Yes. Tell us who built it and the model name, plus whether the battery lifts out. We settle how it rides once those answers are in. Close any society charging arrangement before the holiday, while the office is open.

Yes. It travels on a carrier priced per kilometre, and the band is chosen for the route. The figure is given in writing first. The exit pass is needed just the same.

We don't quote a fixed number of days. It depends on the route and other stops on the way, and the plan is confirmed at booking.

Yes, for us a holiday is an ordinary working date. It is the society offices and the facility teams that close.

Not always. If you are leaving early for the weekend, name the person handing over at booking. What they need to carry is agreed then too.

They might. Some societies shrink the permitted hours on holidays. Ask the office, and we set the pickup time inside those hours.

Often an entry permission for the carrier, and that office is closed for the same holiday. Get it in writing before you leave AECS Layout.

A few weeks ahead. Carriers fill up on those dates, and booking early also means our vehicle number reaches your office in time for the pass.

Yes, the evening before, and keep a photo of it on your phone. If the morning guard is new, the copy at the desk and the one on your phone settle it in a minute.

Yes, it can ride on the household lorry, from Rs 2,999 as one line. The AECS Layout packers page explains the rest of that move.

Tell us as soon as you know. The pickup can be moved to the first working day after the holiday, and you can still leave town as planned if someone you trust is there to hand the bike over.

Yes, in storage in Bangalore. The cost is fixed after a survey and added to the written quote.

You can buy transit cover for the motorcycle, sized to whatever figure you put on it. Its cost is a line in the quote, not something added later.

Yes. The written price comes at booking, and the GST invoice follows when the bike has reached you.

Call +91 90908 28210 with the holiday dates, the bike's make and model and the name of your society office contact. We send the vehicle and crew details for the pass as soon as they are fixed.
